SA Open Instructor Positions
Sheppard Air is now Hiring Instructors.
About this position:
- Sheppard Air, Inc. provides 24/7/365 instructor support of students enrolled in our FAA knowledge test Top-Off study courses. These instructors are all FAA certificated flight/ground instructors and/or military credentialed Instructor Pilots. This personal support is provided via phone and augmented with our online whiteboards when necessary.
Specific Duties:
- Answer questions from our school students relating to specific course study questions, course Study Strategy, materials allowed during FAA tests, eligibility requirements for FAA tests and certificates, military competency processes, testing changes, endorsement requirements, etc.

Skills: Our instructor positions require the following skills:
a) Comfortable working with computers, iPads, and cell phones.
b) Knowledgeable in all pilot subjects, references, and resources.
c) Able to communicate via phone in English with students from many regions/countries.
Previous Experience:
- Sheppard Air instructors currently have two or more previous aviation careers, at least one as a professional aviation instructor. So applicants will be expected to have broad experience.
Compensation: Dependent on experience, but not less than $40 per hour.
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance available.
Quality of life benefit up to $1,500 per year (gym memberships, education costs, event tickets, etc.)
Training: Dependent on experience, but not less than 7 days.
Schedule: After training, instructors fill openings in our Monday through Sunday schedule based on seniority.
